Windows Basics, Typing and Screen Reader Navigation for Beginners is a course designed specifically for visually impaired individuals who want to build a strong foundation in using Windows, develop essential typing skills, and confidently navigate their computer with JAWS or NVDA. Whether you are new to computers or just starting your journey with the JAWS or NVDA screen reader, you will learn how to operate your Windows computer from the ground up, including starting and shutting down, managing files and folders, and using everyday applications. The course will guide you through basic typing techniques, helping you become comfortable with the keyboard and improve your speed and accuracy. With clear, step-by-step instructions and hands-on practice, you’ll discover how to use JAWS or NVDA to read and interact with text, move between programs, and customize your computer for greater independence. By the end of this course, you’ll have the skills and confidence to use your computer effectively for work, study, or personal use.
