Course Objectives
By the end of the course, learners will be able to:
- Efficiently navigate and manage digital files and folders using keyboard shortcuts and screen readers to organize teaching materials.
- Create, format, and edit accessible documents in Microsoft Word, including applying styles and inserting alt text for images.
- Build and manage spreadsheets in Microsoft Excel for tracking student data using formulas, sorting, and filtering features.
- Design and deliver accessible presentations in Microsoft PowerPoint, incorporating slide notes, images, and multimedia following accessibility guidelines.
- Navigate web browsers and effectively search, download, and evaluate online teaching resources for classroom use.
- Manage email communication and scheduling tasks using Outlook or Gmail with screen reader support.
- Utilize AI-powered assistive tools to enhance lesson planning, content creation, and accessibility in teaching.
- Set up and troubleshoot projector connections and display settings for inclusive classroom presentations using screen readers.
